Extruder Operator - Cambridge, ON

Our client is looking for an Extruder Operator to join their production team. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining plastic extruding machines, ensuring smooth and efficient processing of plastic materials. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling materials, monitoring quality, and collaborating with colleagues to meet production goals.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate plastic extruding machines to process materials through nozzles or dies.
- Change dies on extruding machines during production line adjustments.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
- Monitor the quality of materials produced and adjust processes as needed.
- Maintain inventory of materials and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
- Load, unload, and move products using hand tools or material handling equipment.
- Perform material handling tasks such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.




- Operate industrial trucks (forklifts) to transport materials to and from loading docks.
- Assist with opening containers, filling warehouse orders, and taking inventory.

Qualifications:

- Experience operating, setting up, and maintaining extruding machines.
- Ability to perform physical work at a steady pace.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for completing production reports.
- Ability to work afternoon or evening shifts.
