Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for the project
- Assemble and install structural steel components according to specifications and industry standards
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move materials and equipment as needed
- Use mechanical knowledge to fabricate, weld, and build structures accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an ironworker or in a related field is preferred
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Ability to assemble, fabricate, weld, and build structures according to specifications
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is a plus
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights
