Diamond Built Construction Inc. is actively seeking Concrete Foreman, Finishers/Form setters, Concrete Lead Hands, and Concrete Laborers This job will be based in Edmonton and surrounding area.

What is the role?

Concrete Foreman :

- Coordinating with subcontractors, inspectors, and material testers
- Maintain time and material records necessary to complete daily job costing.
- Work out of town at times
- Oversee and direct daily concrete operations
- Ensure all work meets city codes and specifications
- Supervise and train crew members on best practices
- Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and material testers
- Order and manage materials for each project
- Maintain a safe and productive job site

Requirements

- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Concrete Foreman
- Strong knowledge of city specifications and compliance standards
- Maintain time and material records necessary to complete daily job costing.
- Quality Control skills
- Experience with Equipment operation
- Strong Communication skills
- Leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices
- Experience in concrete construction projects
- Ability to lead and coordinate concrete crews effectively
- Experience in grading, forming, pouring, and finishing
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Coordinating with subcontractors, inspectors, and material testers
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Clean drivers abstract

Concrete Lead hand:

- Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing of Sidewalks, Pads, Ramps, Curbs, Crossings,
- Resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion.
- Delegating tasks to concrete workers and providing overall guidance.
- Ensuring that formwork is erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering designs and drawings.




- Overseeing the placement and finishing of concrete and ensuring proper desired elevations and required finish.
- Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials used for each project.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience as Finisher/form setter
- Class 5 license with clean drivers abstract
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent management and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Concrete Finishers/ Form setters :

- Install formwork, granular base and steel reinforcements as per specifications.
- Place and Finish Concrete to desired elevations and required finish.
- Operate compaction equipment
- Apply hardeners, cures and sealers to surface
- Apply architectural, exposed, patterned or stamped, broomed and smooth finishes on concrete surfaces.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of experience for Finishers
- Experience with concrete, gravel base.
- Ability to place and finish concrete to desired elevation and finish.
- Experienced with hand crew concrete laying procedures.
- Operate small hand and power tools.

Laborers:

- Loading and unloading construction materials
- Work in a safe manor.
- Ability to lift 80 lbs
- Use rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
- Operate hammers, vibrators, tampers as well as various small powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Cleaning site equipment.
- Assisting other workers
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Minimum 6 months of experience for Laborers
- Experience with concrete, gravel base.
- Ability to place and finish concrete to desired elevation and finish.
- Experienced with hand crew concrete laying procedures.
- Experience working as a general labourer
- Operate small hand and power tools.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $22.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 – 84.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
