- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
- CTAS, TNCC, ACLS, BGM, Basic Cardiac Rhythm, and IV Therapy certifications required
- Critical Care course required for candidates with ICU training
- ICU experience and the ability to provide ICU coverage are strongly preferred
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months with possibility of extension
- Must be available to work full-time hours
- Must be able to commit to the full duration of the contract

Responsibilities
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment
- Triage, monitor, and manage patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions while monitoring patient responses
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and professional standards
- Provide support and coverage within ICU when required and qualified to do so
- Assist with coverage in Acute Continuing Complex Care and Medical/Surgical units following orientation and cross-training
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift,
with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Significant emergency nursing experience with the ability to function independently in a rural and remote healthcare setting
- Previous ICU experience is a strong asset
- Experience working in multiple acute care environments is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in high-pressure situations
