Job description:

Hiring: Sheet Metal TIG Welder
Location: Pickering, ON Shift: 3:30 pm to 1:30 am Afternoon shift
Wage: $20–$30 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Requirements:

- Perform Tungsten Inert Gas Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) on sheet metal fabrication (Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminum alloys under 1/8” thick)
- Operate manual TIG welding equipment and set up machines independently
- Tack and fit assemblies with precision
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals
- Conduct custom fabrication and machinery or equipment repair
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet all standards and specifications
- Work with gas welding machines in a fast-paced production environment
- Maintain strong attention to detail and manual dexterity while standing for long periods




- Lift materials up to 50 lbs as required
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in TIG welding and GTAW on light gauge metals
- Proficient in working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
- Physically capable of handling demanding tasks and standing for extended hours
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and teamwork mindset
