Job Details:

- Position: Lawn Maintenance Foreperson.
- Location: This position is based in simcoe, On
- Pay: $23- $31 per hour
- Benefits after probationary period
- Company events
- 40-55 hours per week
- performance bonus' after probation period
- typical day is 7:00-5:30
- weekends required during "peak " season or rain has impacted schedule

Job Duties:

- This position also includes the use of numerous types of related equipment. (zero turn, stand on, trimmers, hedge clippers, pruners, blowers, etc)
- § Plan and manage the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectives

§ Cut grass, trim edges, clean up refuse, blow trimmings, fertilize and water turf areas and perform other lawn care duties

- Weeding of flower beds

§ Move and install soil, mulch and plant material to assist with the construction of landscape gardens and related areas

§ Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, chain saws, and snow blowers

§ Supervise the work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity





§ Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues

§ Train crew members on proper and secure job methods

§ Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment

§ Assist in other job-related duties including construction projects, shop and yard maintenance, vehicle and equipment maintenance

§ Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including: daily time and service record forms, equipment daily inspection forms, attendance tracking, requests for time off, etc.

§ Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas

§ Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company PPE standards

§ Comply with all company policies and regulations

§ Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

§ Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner

Key Duties include:

- Managing a crew of 2-3 people.
- Mowing grass.
- edging flower beds
- Flower bed maintenance.

- Trimming.
- Raking.
- Pruning.




- planting/ installing plant material at various job sites
- basic maintenance of landscape equipment
- Drive company truck and trailer.
- snow plowing in winter months (late nov-mar)
- salting
- site inspections
- shoveling and snow blowing sidewalks as required

Job Requirements:

- Valid Driver’s License “G” is required.
- Clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Minimum of 3 years field experience and 3 years crew management.
- proficient in driving truck and trailer combo
- proper pruning techniques considered an asset
- proper planting techniques considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits.
- Willingness to take appropriate classes in order to upgrade the knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work long hours and weekends in busy periods.
- Tolerance to various weather conditions. (RAIN, SNOW, HEAT)
- must have strong communication skills
