About Us
The Office of the Registrar is dedicated to helping our students achieve their academic goals by providing to the Western community an array of integrated student related services in a confidential and professional setting. This includes providing exceptional service to current students as well as prospective students from the initial point of interest in undergraduate programs at Western, through the information gathering, application, and admission processes.
Responsibilities
The Administrative Support II will contribute to the efficient running of the Examination Services by performing a range of administrative tasks in accordance with Western established policies, procedures, and service standards. The incumbent will work collaboratively to support the scheduling of December and April mid-terms and final examinations using Infosilem exam software, applying instructor-provided data and room occupancy information. The incumbent will work with time-sensitive deadlines, respond to inquiries from instructors, staff, and students, collect information on exam conflicts, and schedule usage of our exam conflict room for effective exam administration.

Qualifications
Education:
- Community College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
Experience:
- 2 year of administrative experience in a post-secondary institution
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Knowledge of general office procedures and infosilem exam software would be an asset
- Written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
- Computer skills with the ability to learn and use software programs
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
- Ability to follow formal business practices with high attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
- Adapts readily and effectively to changing priorities and demands
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
- Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve external and internal partner issues
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
- Strong keyboarding skills
