Summary of Position

The Property Accountant will work under the direction of the Controller & Accounting Manager to prepare required financial reporting. We are a private company with more relaxed monthly reporting deadlines. Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager a plus.

Responsibilities

- Prepare financial reporting packages and variance comments.
- Identify issues, provide strong analysis on monthly reports and clearly communicate key financial issues and trends to management.
- Complete annual operating cost recoveries.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with yearend audit and prepare working paper.
- Accounting research and preparation of financial statements.




- Prepare special financial reports as needed.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities as required.

Requirements

1. CPA designation completed or in progress is an asset.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience in full cycle accounting.

3. Minimum 2 years of property management accounting experience.

4. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

5. Proficiency with Yardi Voyager preferred.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Base salary will be from $50,000 to $55,000 plus bonus, defined-advantages pension, extended health and dental, plus other perks including excellent corporate culture and place to learn.
