On behalf of our client, Protrans Personnel Services, are searching for Kitchen Aide / Cook – Contract (Until September 18, 2026 - with a possibility of extension)
This position is based in a large, corporate office in Dieppe and is available to start immediately.

- Monday – Friday / 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Job Summary
The cook reports directly to the head chef and provides assistance in the kitchen wherever needed.
Job Duties
- - Assists the chef in food preparation
- Prepares and portions food products prior to cooking
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Prepare and organize catering food trays according to specifications, delivery instructions both in- house and to off-site locations
- Prepare cooked and raw foods, portion and wrap
- Clean kitchen and garbage disposal according to daily, weekly and monthly schedules
- Stock and clean all areas of the kitchen
- Take temperatures and adhere to all sanitary practices
- Record and minimizes food waste
- Prepare and label food items in the Grab & Go area for food safety and shelf life
- Adhere to all sanitary practices
- Adhere to WHMIS standards
- Be able to take direction in a positive manner
- Receive Food orders from vendors
- Flexibility for after hour events
- All other assigned duties
Employment Requirements
- - 3+ years in the food service industry
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Flexibility regarding hours, duties and procedures
- Be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Be willing to be cross trained for other aspects of the operation
- Must have a valid New Brunswick driver’s license
- Valid SafeCheck? Canadian Food Safety Certification
