Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Basketball Coach to join our sports program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training, mentoring, and developing players’ skills while fostering a positive team environment. This role offers an opportunity to inspire young athletes, promote teamwork, and enhance their athletic abilities through structured coaching sessions. Prior experience in teaching and swimming is considered a valuable asset, contributing to a well-rounded coaching approach.

Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct basketball practice sessions tailored to various skill levels
- Develop training drills that improve players’ technical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Provide constructive feedback and motivate athletes to achieve their personal best
- Organize and oversee team games, ensuring safety and fair play
- Promote a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and growth
- Assist in organizing team events, tournaments,



and community outreach activities
- Maintain equipment and ensure the playing area is secure and well-prepared for activities

Experience

- Previous coaching experience in basketball or related sports preferred
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with players of all ages
- Experience in swimming or aquatic activities is a plus, supporting diverse athletic programs
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while maintaining discipline and focus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to sports coaching and physical activity

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$21.16 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
