Job Overview

At Mr. Sushi, our Kitchen Helper / Line Cook (Tempura) plays an important role in preparing high-quality food and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. This position focuses primarily on tempura preparation while also assisting with food prep and supporting the kitchen team. We're looking for someone with previous kitchen experience who is eager to learn, improve their skills, and grow with our team.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook tempura to Mr. Sushi's quality standards
- Assist with food preparation and ingredient prep
- Support cooks and kitchen staff with daily kitchen tasks
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards

What We're Looking For

- Previous kitchen experience required
- Tempura experience is strongly preferred; however,



we're happy to train someone with previous kitchen experience who has a robust work ethic and a willingness to learn quickly
- Desire to develop into a skilled tempura cook and grow with our team
- Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg)
