We are a newly opened neighbourhood café and we're excited to grow our team! We’re currently hiring a part-time Barista (4 shifts per week) to help us build a welcoming, community‑focused space from the ground up. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, personable, skilled, and confident working in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year barista experience in an independent café
- Basic knowledge of grinder dialing and latte art
- Currently living in Toronto, with the ability to commute for early morning shifts (as early as 6:30am)
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly EPOS now, is a plus
- Full, flexible availability—including weekends and public holidays
- A genuine love for coffee
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and food handling is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a food service environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas,



and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Manage food safety and hygiene standards during food handling and preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills and cashiering procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving baked goods or light snacks
- Ensure timely service by managing multiple orders efficiently with strong time management skills
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure quality and safety standards are met
