Isha Wadhwa Law Professional Corporation, a Law Firm based in London, Ontario, is currently seeking a talented and driven Junior Lawyer with a background or strong interest in Family Law to join our esteemed team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills in a dynamic environment. As a Junior Lawyer at Isha Wadhwa Law, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child protection, property disputes, and more. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate excellent organization, strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently, as well as in a busy team environment and must have the knowledge of drafting family law documents.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case preparation and legal analysis
- Meeting with clients to provide strategic advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process
- Draft and review legal documents, including originating documents, Applications, and Settlement Agreements
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
- Appear on motions, case conferences, or assist at hearings (as appropriate)
- Communicate with clients to gather disclosure and provide updates
- Support senior lawyers with client meetings, research, and drafting
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and support staff to ensure timely and effective representation
- Carrying out other tasks or assignments as required

Qualifications:





- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- One year or less of current Family Law experience
- Solid understanding of relevant statutes, case law, and court procedures
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to empathize with clients and address their needs with sensitivity and professionalism
- Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and providing exceptional client service
- Demonstrated professionalism and strong work ethic
