Since opening our first Nook in Vancouver’s West End in 2009, we’ve been dedicated to creating a space where locals can come together over a shared love of food and drink. We pride ourselves on sourcing the freshest local ingredients, supporting our farmer friends, and importing exceptional products from Italy. At Nook, we serve our best in every dish—antipasto, housemade pasta and pizza—and pour excellent wine from small, passionate vineyards.

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Server at Nook, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm, engaging dining experience that reflects our signature style of hospitality; friendly, genuine, and effortlessly professional. You’ll connect with guests through great conversation and menu knowledge, offer thoughtful food and wine suggestions, and anticipate needs to ensure every visit feels personal and memorable. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment and shares a passion for great food, good company, and authentic Italian dining.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide friendly, attentive, and genuine service that makes guests feel at home.
- Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced setting.
- Confidently share menu knowledge and make thoughtful recommendations.




- Communicate clearly and positively with both guests and team members.
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and proactive during service.

- Flexibility to work full-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a busy, full-service restaurant.
- Current Serving It Right Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and creating memorable dining experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
