M2 Financial Solutions is a professional accounting firm located in Brooklin, Ontario. We provide bookkeeping, payroll, tax, accounting, and advisory services to a diverse group of business clients.

We are looking for a seasoned and highly experienced Full-Cycle Bookkeeper to join our friendly, hardworking team. This is a full time, permanent, in-office position for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, timely, and well-organized financial records.

This is not an entry-level bookkeeping position. The successful candidate will be comfortable independently managing the bookkeeping requirements of multiple clients and identifying and correcting problems within their accounting records.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Completing full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis
- Recording and categorizing financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Completing bank, credit card, loan, and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing general ledger accounts and investigating discrepancies
- Identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting bookkeeping errors
- Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable records
- Preparing payroll and completing related reconciliations
- Preparing HST returns
- Preparing Employer Health Tax (EHT) returns
- Preparing Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) returns
- Communicating with clients to obtain missing information and resolve bookkeeping questions
- Maintaining accurate and organized electronic client files
- Assisting with personal income tax return data entry during our busy season in March and April
- Supporting other bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and administrative projects as required

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

- Several years of recent,



hands-on full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Experience managing the bookkeeping records of multiple businesses or clients
- Strong bank and balance sheet reconciliation skills
- Canadian payroll processing experience
- Experience preparing HST, EHT, and WSIB returns
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- The ability to identify discrepancies and independently determine how to correct them
- The ability to work quickly and accurately while managing multiple deadlines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- A dependable, responsible, and client-focused approach to work

Additional Assets

The following experience would be highly desirable:

- Previous experience working in an accounting, bookkeeping, or public practice firm
- Experience preparing Canadian personal income tax returns
- Familiarity with Canadian tax preparation software
- Experience communicating with the Canada Revenue Agency
- Experience working with cloud-based document management or client portal systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
