Position Summary

A leading hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its night shift team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse acute care population while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver direct nursing care to patients on a Medical/Surgical unit.

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.

- Monitor patient conditions, document clinical findings, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.

- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and nursing best practices.

- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.





Qualifications

Required

- Canadian citizenship.

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.

- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital.

- Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).

- Solid clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

- Hourly Pay: $28.00–$46.00, based on experience and qualifications.
