Our medical office is seeking a full-time Medical Office Receptionist

Duties (may include and not limited to)

- Bringing patient into examination rooms
- Taking vital signs, recording height and weight
- Schedule and confirm medical appointments and receive and communicate messages for medical staff and patients
- Correspondence by mail, phone, in person and fax with patients, consulting physician offices and pharmacies
- Completing OHIP and third-party billing
- Handle all patients in a professional, diplomatic manner
- Keeping the work space tidy and presentable at all times
- Must be extremely organized and diligent with following up and completing tasks
- Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records

Requirements





- Completion of a one or two-year college program or other specialized course for medical secretary
- At least 1-3 years experience in an administrative role
- Must have advanced computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records, PS Suite
- Must have a professional, friendly and outgoing demeanor
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a great asset
- Must have previous experience with PS Suites
- Previous experience with OceanMD is preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, skilled, enthusiastic, positive, respectful

Hours

- Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) Office hours vary per day (30hrs per week)

Compensation: $20 per hour
