Contract Recruiter

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to manage the full recruitment lifecycle across a variety of corporate and retail functions. This is a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment role requiring a proactive recruiter who excels at sourcing, headhunting, stakeholder management, and identifying candidates who are both technically qualified and a strong cultural fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from intake meeting through offer acceptance and pre-onboarding.

- Partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders across multiple business functions to understand hiring needs and develop recruitment strategies.

- Source and proactively headhunt qualified candidates using a variety of recruitment channels.

- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and shortlist candidates for hiring managers.

- Conduct in-depth interviews, asking probing questions to gain the complete picture of a candidate's experience, motivations, and cultural fit.

- Coordinate and manage the interview process.

- Prepare and present candidate recommendations to hiring managers.

- Manage offer preparation, negotiation, and offer delivery.

- Support pre-onboarding activities to ensure a smooth candidate experience.





- Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

- Build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

Qualifications

- Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment.

- Strong background recruiting for both corporate and retail positions.

- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced recruitment environment.

- Demonstrated success with proactive sourcing and headhunting.

- Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to uncover the full candidate story and accurately assess cultural fit.

- Strong relationship-building skills with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Experience preparing offers and supporting candidates through pre-onboarding.

- Experience recruiting within a unionized environment is considered an asset, as this role may involve working with union representatives. Experience supporting recruitment for unionized locations, is a nice to have.

- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.

- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Experience with Avature is preferred; experience using other ATS platforms is also acceptable.
