DataStage ETL Developer IBM InfoSphere & SQL Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid (4 Days WFO) Experience Required: 68 Years Required Skills IBM InfoSphere DataStage ETL Development SQL & PL/SQL Unix Shell Scripting Role Description Design and implement ETL data pipelines.
Strong PL/SQL and SQL skills in relational database environments.
Robust Unix shell scripting skills.
Create and review technical design documents.
Participate in walkthrough reviews of technical specifications, code, and unit test plans.
Plan design and implementation activities and provide third-level production support.
Drive technical platform improvements and ensure solution quality.
Estimate effort for design, coding, and unit testing activities.
Ensure ETL pipelines meet quality standards and metadata is complete and accurate.
Work closely with development teams to promote best practices.
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative.
Working knowledge of GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
Must Have 8+ years of experience in complex and time-sensitive development environments.
Extensive hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage (ETL).
Extensive hands-on experience with complex SQL (MSSQL Server, Teradata).
Extensive experience creating stored procedures and Unix shell scripts.
Experience supporting large-scale testing, UAT, simulations, and reporting.
Nice to Have Working knowledge of Kafka.
Working knowledge of JCL/Zeke.
