Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at our Parkdale location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality sandwiches, salads and meals in a fast-paced cafe environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist in meal preparation and plating for service, ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages.




- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a cafe or food service setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
