Job description for junior accountant
- Assist in the provision of auditing, review, compilation and tax services.
- Ensure that all bookkeeping is accurate, up to date, and organized for our clients.
- Prepare payroll calculations, GST, PST and WCB returns and remittances.
- Full cycle accounting including all areas.
- Correspond with team members and clients in response to specific corporate tax queries.
- Provide support to clients on general questions regarding accounting issues.
- Liaise with the Canada Revenue Agency and relevant provincial ministries on client issues.
Job Requirements for junior accountant
- CPA candidate is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Attention to detail, includes mathematical aptitude, analytical ability, and ability to keep documents well organized.
- Good computer skill (word-processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.); and knowledge of CASEWARE, TAX PREP is considered an asset.
- Good communication skills, excellent verbal and written skills.
- Self-organization, team player, professional appearance, positive learning ability, and able to work under high pressure.
- Willing to travel for business engagements.
- Multilingual (Mandarin & Cantonese) is preferred.
