Unika Medical Centre is a private specialty clinic. Our clinical focus spans spine and musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine, sports medicine, and medical evaluations, active physiotherapy, and comprehensive diagnostics.

We're looking for a personable, organized Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients and be a key part of our front-desk team.

Duties:

- Greet patients and visitors warmly and manage a busy front desk
- Answer and triage incoming calls, including scheduling and rebooking appointments
- Triage faxes and other communication
- Enter and maintain patient information accurately in our EMR system
- Verify insurance details and assist patients with understanding uninsured service forms
- Liaise with our clinical and administrative team (Physician Assistant and administrative staff) to keep the schedule and patient flow running smoothly
- Handle patient records and personal health information in strict accordance with PHIPA
- Support day-to-day office operations as required by staff and physicians

Skills

- Required: Proficiency in Accuro EMR.



This is a mandatory requirement — applicants without hands-on experience with Accuro will not be considered or contacted.
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare front-desk role preferred
- Familiarity with OHIP basics and non-OHIP services
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, skilled manner with patients who may be dealing with pain or injury
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable with confidentiality requirements and handling sensitive health information
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
