We’re a small, owner-operated bakery looking for a skilled, detail-oriented morning baker to support daily production.
Who we’re looking for
- 1+ year experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or similar professional setting
- Relevant culinary or baking education preferred but not the main criteria
- Experience with laminated pastries, dough preparation, cookies & mousse based desserts is a strong asset
- Experience with dough shaping, proofing, and baking
- Detail-oriented, calm, and reliable
- Comfortable with early-morning hours & commuting to Cabbagetown
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and assembling mousse desserts using existing formulas
- Assembling and finishing cakes & other desserts
- Shaping, proofing, and baking focaccia, cinnamon rolls, and laminated pastries
- Maintaining a clean, organized workstation
- Follow production schedules and meet daily output requirements
- Manage time efficiently and work independently during early hours
- Keep track of stock & inventory
Schedule
To start:
- 4 mornings per week: 5:00 am – 11:00 am ( 2 mornings during the week + weekends)
- ~20-25hours/week
- With more hours to come after you get into the flow.
