The Role
AGCM is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator (Construction) to support our Estimators and Project Managers within the General Contracting division. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology to build hands-on experience and learn the full project lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and track shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs-ensuring items are logged, routed, followed up, and closed out on time.
- Support tendering activities by helping prepare tender packages, contacting subcontractors, and collecting pricing and qualifications.
- Maintain organized project documentation (contracts, meeting minutes, correspondence, drawings, permits) and keep files up to date.
- Coordinate with active trades to ensure insurance, safety documentation, and site requirements are current prior to mobilization.
- Assist with material ordering and delivery coordination,
confirming lead times and ensuring sites are supplied as scheduled.
- Support site and office communication by coordinating with suppliers, trades, and internal stakeholders to keep work moving.
- Help track schedules, changes, and basic project reporting as directed by the Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology (NBCC or equivalent).
- Solid working knowledge of Excel; experience with MS Project is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and organize information accurately.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal); bilingual English/French is an asset.
