Position Title: Warehouse Associate

Department: Warehouse

Position Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Position Summary:

In this position, your day will consist of operating Material Handling Equipment to move around the warehouse to prepare products for shipping and/or receiving. You will be expected to follow Health & Safety and Food Safety standards and ensure the accuracy of the orders for customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate Material Handling Equipment, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check.
- Working in a variety of temperature zones from dry (15 degrees) to freezer (-20 degrees Celsius).
- Follow safe and efficient work procedures to meet customer requirements including maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training pertinent to the role
- Responsible for reporting any and all concerns related to the Health & Safety, safe handling and integrity of all items received, stored and distributed by Flanagan Foodservice
- Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices
- Other duties as assigned.

Order Selector Duties

- Lifting and loading food and other products onto pallets (up to 80 lbs).
- Accurately selecting products using a computerized inventory system.
- Scanning and placing labels on product and building pallet based on sequence.
- Preparing pallets for shipping to our customers.

Loader Duties





- Communicate information with various team members on shift and at cross over.
- Ensure safety of trailers when in the loading dock.
- Preparing trailers for food distribution as per Food Safety procedures. Complete all required paperwork and documentation as per standards.

Receiver Duties

- Communicate information with various team members on shift and at cross over.
- Ensure safety of trailers when in the loading dock.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation as per standards.
- Inspect trailer for Food Safety standards as per procedures.

Reach Truck Operator Duties

- Accurately put away products as per Food Safety Standards.
- Accurately replenishment of pick locations as per Food Safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

- A minimum of 6 months warehouse experience.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
- Experience with electronic picking equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a past paced, physically demanding environment - lifting (from 10 to 80 lbs).
- Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality.
- Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated and freezer areas.
- A good attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team setting.
- Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.
- Regular and reliable attendance.

Unique Requirements:

- Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.
- Safely operate an end rider, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check.

Sunday to Thursday, 9:00pm to 5:30am
