Are you an experienced restoration professional ready to lead projects and mentor a team? First General is looking for a Lead Mitigation Technician to join our growing restoration team. In this role, you'll lead emergency response and environmental mitigation projects, helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, asbestos, and other property damage.

In this vital role, you will lead mitigation projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality service delivery while supervising a team of technicians. What You'll Do

As a Lead Mitigation Technician, you'll oversee mitigation projects from start to finish while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial projects
- Coordinate staff, equipment, vehicles, and materials for emergency response
- Conduct site assessments and help determine project scope
- Perform and oversee water extraction, demolition, mold remediation, contents handling, and cleaning
- Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and environmental control equipment
- Complete moisture readings, documentation, photos, and job reports
- Train and mentor technicians on restoration procedures and safety practices
- Communicate with clients and provide project updates
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Ensure compliance with IICRC standards and company safety protocols
- Participate in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2 years of restoration industry experience




- IICRC Water Restoration and Fire Restoration certifications required
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work
- Criminal Record Check
- CSTS and WHMIS certification
- Leadership or crew supervision experience
- Experience with mitigation, demolition, restoration, or construction
- Additional IICRC certifications (AMRT, ASD, TCST, OCT, Asbestos) are considered an asset
- Standard First Aid is an asset

Skills & Qualifications

- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of IICRC standards and restoration best practices
- Experience with moisture mapping, drying equipment, and psychrometrics
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and restoration software platforms
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
