We are growing and we are looking for some amazing new people to join our team!!!
Blue Sky Home Care and Forbes Pharmacy have joined teams to service clients in the comfort of their own homes, services run Monday - Sunday. We have day-shifts which run 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and evening shifts 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm available for medication administration to a variety of clientele. Must have current, valid drivers license and a company vehicle is provided.
Our Blue Sky Home Care team has been assisting with the care of Greater Victoria and the surrounding areas for over 10 years providing quality outreach nursing, providing care to clients in shelters, and catered homecare experience that exceeds our competition.
Blue Sky Home Care continues to provide quality assistance and support with the compassionate community services that we have always offered. We have partnered with many preferred and established health care providers and companies to elevate our professional model further as industry leaders in the Health Care Community. We bring the collaborative healthcare approach to your home, joining Patients, Care Workers, Nurses, Physicians and Pharmacists together to simplify personal and clinical tasks, reduce stress and create more time to enjoy life.
Job description
An ideal candidate would:
- Quickly establish and maintain relationships with professionals from multiple agencies involved in the program and the care of the clients
- Be professional, confident and proactive while working autonomously.
- Possess a desire to advocate for community clients who struggle to access healthcare in a variety of settings including those who reside in shelters
- Be self-driven and accountable
- Believe that empathy and compassion are fundamental pillars of establishing trusting relationships with clients
- Embrace rapidly changing situations and be able to react to emergencies effectively
- Be a natural leader and ambassador for our program and our clients
Duties included, but not limited to:
- Assist with supervising staff
- Help with scheduling
- Intakes
- Client care and quality care
Posting requirements:
- Current BC Nurse registration and be in good standing with the college
- Have a valid BC driver's license
- Be familiar with universal precautions and current Ministry of Health guidelines
- Exceptional assessment, document and communications skills
- Ability to work day shifts, weekends and holidays as a part of an established rotation (for casual, part-time and full-time positions)
