Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (Part-Time)Employment Type

- Part-time: 15–20 hours per week

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable part-time to support the financial operations of one of our clients, primarily serving their U.S. customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, invoicing, bank reconciliations, payment processing, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Sales Tax requirements.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, possesses a strong understanding of financial processes, and is eager to learn while contributing to a variety of related administrative tasks.

This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated professional with solid experience in billing and accounts receivable who is looking to contribute to a flexible organization while further developing their administrative and financial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle.
- Prepare, issue, and validate customer invoices.
- Apply customer payments and ensure the accuracy of customer account records.
- Monitor overdue accounts and perform collection activities.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process transactions related to U.S.-based customers.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of U.S. Sales Tax requirements.




- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records.

Administrative Support

- Assist with a variety of related administrative tasks.
- Maintain organized documentation in accordance with internal procedures.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as required to support business operations.

Required Qualifications

- 5–6 years of experience in a similar role focused on billing and accounts receivable.
- Proven experience performing bank reconciliations.
- Experience working with U.S. customers or U.S.-based business operations.
- Practical knowledge of U.S. Sales Tax requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is considered an asset).
