MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Full-Time | Permanent | Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM | In-Person

What You’ll Do:
With your passion for all things maintenance, you will undertake the responsibility of keeping our portfolio of properties in top condition while preserving their functionality. Your professionalism will shine while you adhere to all RTA policies, maintain accurate records, and provide solid suggestions to the Property Manager.
Maintenance & Repairs:
- Oversee plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are functional and well-maintained.
- Effectively troubleshoot minor maintenance issues and complete repairs.
- Complete unit turnovers in preparation for prospective tenants.
- Provide proactive maintenance suggestions to the Property Managers.
- Minor landscaping duties as assigned.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records using our online system.
- Maintain accurate timesheets and purchase orders.
- Create/maintain a database with insights to property particulars.
- Code receipts and file accordingly.
Scheduling and Administration:
- Coordinate with Property Managers and/or the Operations Manager to obtain entry approval from residents, tenants, and guests.
- Assist with building your daily schedule and provide time estimates when required for expense approval purposes.
- Coordinate with Squire’s approved vendors should a third party be required to complete a task.
- Proactively order/purchase repair supplies for upcoming site visits.
- Maintain Squire’s equipment to keep things efficient.
What We’re Looking For:
- You have two years of experience in a similar or transferrable role.
- You can use hand tools safely and effectively.
- You are interested in an active role that includes standing, bending, walking, and kneeling, and you can lift and move items over 50 lbs, indoors and outdoors.
- You are knowledgeable in the areas of drywall repair, painting, repairs of doors, windows, and other building fixtures, as well as basic plumbing repairs.
- You remain calm under pressure and can manage multiple priorities.
- You’re comfortable learning new systems and asking questions when needed.
- You’re familiar with the Apple ecosystem (MacOS, iOS, iCloud, etc.).
- You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You have excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
The successful candidate will hold a valid driver’s license and have their own vehicle to use for work each day.
