Position Summary

The Security Technician is responsible for installing, programming, servicing, inspecting, and maintaining commercial access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems while delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with a wide range of electronic security products, and the ability to work independently in a rapidly developing industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, service, troubleshoot,



and maintain access control, CCTV, smart locks, and intrusion alarm systems.
- Program and commission electronic security systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Diagnose and repair system faults.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Complete service reports and communicate professionally with customers.
- Comply with company safety policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

Required:

- Minimum 5 years of commercial security system experience.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- CANASA – Alarm Technician Course or approved equivalent.
- CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA Networking Certification or approved equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred:
Experience with DSC, Dahua, Hikvision, RBH, Mircom TX3, ICT, Amazon Key, or similar commercial security products. Manufacturer certifications and networking certifications are considered an asset.

Work Environment

Field-based position requiring travel throughout Southwestern Ontario. Work includes indoor and outdoor environments, ladders, construction sites, occasional overtime, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
