Riverstone Excavation & Underground Ltd. is growing, and we're looking for a highly experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. We are searching for someone who takes pride in their work, operates safely, and wants to build a long-term career with a company that's expanding into larger civil and infrastructure projects.

This is NOT an entry-level position. We are looking for a seasoned operator who can step into the machine and get the job done right from day one.

Responsibilities

- Residential and commercial excavation
- Foundation and footing excavation
- Water, sewer, and storm sewer installation
- Lot clearing and site preparation
- Trenching and underground utility installation
- Dig confidently using GPS machine guidance systems
- Work closely with experienced pipelayers and ground crews
- Read grades, engineered drawings, and laser elevations
- Load trucks efficiently and safely
- Perform finish grading and final site preparation
- Work safely around existing underground utilities

Qualifications

- Minimum 10 years of excavator operating experience
- Extensive experience with footing excavation, water, sewer, and storm installations
- Experience with lot clearing and site development
- Proficient with GPS machine control
- Robust understanding of trench safety and safe excavation practices
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, dependable,



and accountable
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Takes ownership of their equipment and workmanship
- Valid driver's licence (DZ or AZ is an asset)

Equipment Care & Daily Responsibilities

- Complete daily pre-trip and equipment inspections
- Grease and perform routine machine maintenance
- Keep tracks cleaned and properly adjusted
- Check fluid levels and report maintenance concerns immediately
- Keep the excavator clean, organized, and job-site ready
- Treat company equipment with respect as if it were your own
