Reporting to the Fitness Centre Director, this position is responsible for supervision of activities and services occurring in the Fitness Centre and Group Fitness as required. This position is for both the Vaughn Harvey and North End locations.
Duties
· Provide on floor supervision of the Fitness Centre, acting as a host to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
· Provide free basic workouts for members and orientate members to the workout equipment.
· Provide paid personalized workouts and one-on-one personal training.
· Lead fitness classes as scheduled / needed on a regular and fill-in basis.
· Clean equipment as per the posted schedule and keep the desk tidy.
· Complete and forward work orders in a timely manner when equipment is not in working order.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
· A criminal record check and vulnerable sector check are required as a condition of employment
· Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR
· Personal Trainer certification from Can-Fit-Pro (or equivalent)
· Group Fitness Instructor certification from Can-Fit-Pro (or equivalent) an asset
· Able to work flexible hours
· Bilingualism an asset
