Concrete Finisher (Residential & Commercial)

Location: Edmonton, AB – West End Shop
Pay: $30.00 – $37.00 per hour + Overtime Pay

Job Overview

Join our construction team as a Concrete Finisher. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial projects across the Edmonton area. Unlike many in the industry, we offer steady, year-round work for those who take pride in their craft and want a stable career path.

Typical Shift Schedule

- Days: Monday to Saturday
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM (Could be later when finishing)
- Overtime: Regular overtime is required and paid in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Site Preparation: Clean and clear job sites, set up tools, and organize materials.
- Concrete Placement: Assist crews with pouring, leveling and finishing concrete.
- Concrete Finishing: MUST have experience operating a power trowel to achieve smooth finish.
- Site Restoration/Housekeeping: Maintain a clean site throughout the day, perform thorough end-of-shift clean-up and ensure the site is left in professional condition.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Applicants must possess and maintain their own basic safety gear:

- Steel-Toed Boots: CSA-approved (Green Triangle).
- Hard Hat: Valid and in good condition.
- Safety Vest: High-visibility (Class 2 or better).

Qualifications & Requirements

- Work Ethic:



Exceptional reliability and a "team-first" attitude.
- Punctuality: A strong commitment to being on-site and ready to go at the scheduled start time, ensuring the team remains on schedule and properly supported.
- Physical Capability: Ability to perform strenuous manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and standing/kneeling for 12-hour shifts.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from various job sites is highly preferred. Our shop is located in the West End and is easily accessible by public transportation; in some cases, transportation from our shop to the job site may be provided.
- Safety Mindset: Commitment to following all site safety procedures and protocols.
- Assets: Previous concrete experience and valid safety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, or First Aid) are highly valued.
