We are currently seeking an experienced Field Operations Project Manager to join our Edmonton Head Office team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project management professional who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and enjoys leading teams, building client relationships, and delivering complex field projects from planning through completion.
About the Role
Reporting to the Vice President Field Operations, the Field Operations Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of industrial field projects while ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This leadership role works closely with clients, Project Coordinators, Field Supervisors, the Assistant Manager, and support teams to coordinate resources, manage project risks, oversee project execution, and mentor employees throughout every stage of the project lifecycle. Regular travel to customer and project sites is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple industrial field projects from award through completion.
Qualifications Required
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline
OR
- Journeyperson trades certification combined with significant industrial project management experience
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience in industrial maintenance, fabrication, construction, or field services
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
- PMP (Project Management Professional) designation
- Membership with APEGA, ASET, or another recognized professional association
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, or Heavy Industrial projects
- Knowledge of ASME, API, TEMA, or related industry codes and standards
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
- Experience reviewing estimates, project costing, and project financial performance
