RackAir is a commercial mechanical service company with 35 years of operating history in Eastern Ontario, now opening our second office in the GTA. We work exclusively in commercial, industrial and multi-residential. Our reputation is built on one standard: every system documented, every deficiency priced in writing, every client with a named contact they can call.
The Prospect
You join the GTA operation at the ground floor. You set the technical standard every future GTA hire is trained against. You run your own accounts. You work directly with the owner and the GTA Business Development Director.
As the operation grows, this role grows with it: Lead Technician to Foreman to Service Manager. That path is written into your offer, not mentioned in passing.
The Role
Reporting directly to the owner,
you are the primary service technician for RackAir’s GTA accounts. You manage your own schedule, service your own accounts, and hold the RackAir documentation standard on every visit.
Day to day: rooftop units, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, split systems, and commercial refrigeration across multi-residential, industrial and commercial properties throughout the GTA. Every visit logged in BuildOps. Every deficiency documented and priced in writing before client approval. Every system is kept in TSSA compliance, No shortcuts.
The owner is a credentialed tradesperson who has done this work. The expectations are high because the standard is non-negotiable and that is exactly why the right candidate will want to be here.
What You Earn
- Full UA Local 787 journeyman wage scale from day one
- $5,000 sign-on bonus paid at 90 days

Requirements
- 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
- UA Local 787 in good standing, or the capacity to join
- Minimum 8 years commercial mechanical field experience
- Strongly preferred: multi-residential or commercial property management building experience
- TSSA Gas Tech 1
- Clean driving record
Pay: $84.50-$91.00 per hour
