Our growing Mississauga client who is a Distributor of Industrial products is looking for a Branch Operations Manager to join their Mississauga location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years related experience in management of an Industrial Distributor. The following are the responsibilities:

- Oversee effective and cost-efficient branch operations by:

- Ensuring branch inventory is controlled as per applicable Company procedures.
- Managing all aspects of the branch physical layout and facilities.
- Ensuring the control of physical product into and out of the warehouse including receiving, shipping, stock replenishment, recharge, damaged goods and scrap.
- Ensuring procedures for automotive warranty inspections are completed correctly and on a timely basis.
- Tracking and providing appropriate management (key performance indicators) reporting to Head Office.
- Ensuring scrap purchases and sales are processed as appropriate and that all paperwork is completed to fulfill Company and legislative requirements.

- Oversee effective sales and service support by:

- Ensuring orders and subsequent deliveries for all customers are processed, in adherence to standards for control, accuracy and timeliness.
- Taking and effectively responding to escalated and/or more complex customer inquiries and concerns.
- Escalating issues concerning lost sales, inventory quality problems, inventory accuracy to appropriate department in Head Office.

- Ensuring the maintenance of a regular customer contact.

- Dialoguing with Sales Reps on issues for specific customers and/or products.
- Ensuring customer follow-up as needed with regard to backorders, allocated product, credits, warranty work, delivery schedules, etc.

- Ensuring accurate preparation of sales quotations, invoicing of products as appropriate to the branch model.

- Effective management of Branch team by:





- Effectively establishing and communicating performance expectations; measuring accountability and productivity of team members; conducting effective performance appraisals.
- Ensuring team members have the required level of knowledge and tools required to effectively perform their responsibilities.
- Identifying training and development needs; providing appropriate opportunities to develop and close development gaps.
- Providing ongoing coaching in assist team members to meet their full potential.
- Effectively distributing work assignments to ensure continued high customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness while providing development to team members.
- Measuring accountability and productivity of team members; conducting effective performance evaluations.
- Ensuring adherence of all team members to the Company Guidelines for Business Conduct.
- Actively manage and/or participate in recruitment & selection, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ensure a safe and efficient warehouse environment at all times by:
- Providing direction to branch team for, and actively participating in, positive house-keeping and a well-organized workplace.
- Ensuring procedures are in place to maintain all branch equipment is in good operating condition; co-ordinating repairs and regular maintenance for all material handling equipment, wrapper, dock doors, plates, and forklifts as well as for fleet vehicles.
- Requiring employee compliance with all Company and provincial legislation including Health & Safety regulations (safety equipment, forklift operation, TDG, WHMIS, provincial Workers Compensation, Labour Board).
- Addressing any identified potential health and safety issues / hazard.

Ensure ongoing effective liaison with, and support from, Head Office by:
- Tracking and providing appropriate management (key performance indicators) reporting to Head Office.
- Maintaining solid relationship with Head Office functions and/or management in order to proactively obtain support as needed.

You will oversee a team of 10.
Hours 6:30am-5pm Mon-Fri.
Salary- 75K-85K
