Community Occupational Therapist (Independent Contractor)

Help build occupational therapy services on the Sunshine Coast.

Clarity FCE & Therapies Inc. is seeking a community-based Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping people regain function, independence, and confidence following injury or illness.

This is an opportunity to become part of a growing practice that values thoughtful clinical reasoning, compassionate care, and high-quality rehabilitation. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys working independently while collaborating closely with an experienced Occupational Therapist.

The successful candidate must reside on the Sunshine Coast and will provide community-based occupational therapy services throughout the region.

About the Role

Services may include:

- Community-based occupational therapy treatment
- Functional assessments in the home and community
- Return-to-work planning and graduated activity progression
- Cognitive rehabilitation
- Chronic pain rehabilitation
- Concussion management
- Mental health support within occupational therapy practice
- Collaboration with physicians, employers, insurers and other rehabilitation professionals
- Timely clinical documentation and reporting

As the practice continues to grow, there will also be opportunities to develop advanced assessment skills, including Functional Capacity Evaluations and other specialized assessment services through mentorship and clinical support.

What We're Looking For

You are:

- Registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
- Living on the Sunshine Coast
- Comfortable working independently in the community
- A strong communicator with excellent clinical reasoning
- Compassionate, organized, and committed to high-quality client care
- Interested in continued professional growth

Experience working with clients with physical injuries, concussion, chronic pain,



mental health conditions, or return-to-work rehabilitation would be considered an asset.

Requirements

- Registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
- Professional liability insurance
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle for community appointments
- Residence on the Sunshine Coast
