Advance your mechanical skills with Redpath as an Underground Mechanic at the Musselwhite project. Focus on diesel, hydraulic, and electrical repairs in a remote setting with 14 days on, 14 days off schedule.
This role requires a journeyman qualification and three years of experience in underground mining. You'll conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential to train new employees and promote safety within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment
- Conduct diagnostic testing to identify equipment issues
- Adjust, repair or replace defective parts
- Test repaired equipment for compliance with specifications
- Train and mentor current employees and apprentices
Requirements:
- Journeyman level qualification or trade school diploma
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3 years' experience in underground mining preferred
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
