Job Title

Intermediate or Senior Software Developer

Key Responsibilities

- Software component level and detailed design utilizing Unified Modelling Language (UML)
- Software implementation and unit testing
- Software integration, verification, and defect resolution
- Contributing to software design, test, maintenance, and release documentation
- Contributing to a team effort within an Agile development environment
- Support the software and system testing groups for software and system integration testing

Required Skills & Experience (Intermediate Developer)

- Degree level or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- 4 to 7 years of C++ and/or Java experience
- Self‑motivated, adaptable to change, proactive, diligent, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, methodologies, processes, and tools (SDLC)
- Experience with Linux operating systems and comfortable working on the command line

Required Skills & Experience (Senior Developer)

- 7+ years of C++ and/or Java experience
- All requirements for the intermediate developer role
- Experience providing mentorship and technical oversight of junior team members

Desired Skills

- Experience with customized software solutions for government organizations
- Positive understanding of software configuration and build management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word and Excel
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, and static code analysis tools

Wish List Skills

- Domain knowledge in sonar or similar signal‑processing applications




- Experience working with hardware and software emulators for integration testing
- Direct experience creating automated build pipelines in Jenkins or Azure Dev Ops

Additional Requirements

- Ability to acquire Canadian/NATO Secret security clearance and Canadian Controlled Goods assessment

Contract and Location

Contract term: 1 year, with possibility of renewal or extension. This position is not remote; candidates must be available to come into the office on‑demand for testing activities.
