Job Description

As a Production Lead you will oversee, monitor and coordinate the work for your assigned production team. Working with the Production Manager to plan work and meet goals. Ensuring that all required information, training, and team goals are communicated to team members.
You will report on team successes and challenges to the Production Supervisor/Manager. While working with other leads, supervisors and managers within the plant to help the team achieve production goals in a timely manner. You will help team members with common questions, training, and concerns.

Elevating concerns as necessary to plant leadership.

Please note: It's a PM (3:30pm-Midnight) Shift - Supporting Outbound Shipping department.

Responsibilities

Identify issues, problems, and solutions in areas of safety, quality, and production

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by leading by example and assisting the supervisor in monitoring the use of all control points, equipment, and resources

Adhere to, train, and help to enforce compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety procedures

Work with support groups including Current Product Development, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and the Warehouse to complete production in a timely manner

Teach, guide, oversee, and organize employees to complete production

Oversee the day-to-day functions of your assigned department by providing guidance and direction

Assist in the preparation and organization of employee work schedules as well as monitor and report on attendance

Maintain an adequate supply of tools and hardware supplies as needed

Assist supervisor/manager in the planning of the layout of your assigned area

Qualifications

High School Degree or equivalent; Associate's Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) – Technical, Business, Education, Engineering or other related field preferred

Lean, Six Sigma certificates preferred

4 years of relevant experience

Ability to give direction to team, delegate tasks, and provide team members feedback

Demonstrated strong reading,



verbal, and written communication skills

Demonstrated strong organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve common production issues

Ability to work independently and as a team in a diverse work environment

Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Vietnamese preferred

Previous experience as a Production Lead preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to use hand tools

Ability to travel 0-25% of the time

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $24.33 – $30.41 per hour. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skill, shift, or any collective bargaining agreement.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, we may offer a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
