Empower 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals at the University of Waterloo as a full-time Counsellor. Your expertise will enhance mental health and student success using an informed and compassionate approach. This permanent role in Campus Wellness is dedicated to addressing the mental health needs of 2SLGBTQIA+ students through clinical services and advocacy.
Your experience in trauma-informed care and understanding of intersectionality will shape your clinical practice. You’ll work closely with other campus entities to create a supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and treatment planning
- Facilitate individual and group counselling sessions
- Advocate for access to healthcare resources for students
- Collaborate with academic staff to promote student wellness
- Provide supervision and training for graduate interns Requirements:
- Master's or doctoral degree in counselling or related discipline
- Demonstrated success in clinical counselling with diverse populations
- Experience with 2SLGBTQIA+ mental health frameworks
- Commitment to anti-racist practices in therapy
