Leading or supporting engineering designs and drawings for municipal infrastructure (roads, storm, sanitary, watermain)Completing preliminary and detailed designs that meet municipal and provincial standardsTake ownership of contract drawings and design reports with guidance from senior staff— contributing to efficient project execution and client satisfactionCoordinate efficiently with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within scope.Preparing technical reports, tender documents, and cost estimates that support high‑quality project deliveryCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align technical outputs with project objectives.Engage in project planning, including scoping, work plan creation, and fee development.Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction phase services.Contribute to winning work by supporting proposals, schedules, and fee estimates that align with project goals and client needs.Support construction delivery through involvement in contract administration, resolving issues quickly to minimize delays.Remain engaged in continuous learning and represent Burnside at industry eventsWhat You Bring
A degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)



in Ontario5+ years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure designProficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsExcellent communication and technical writing skills, with a clear ability to explain complex engineering conceptsFamiliarity with municipal design criteria, OPSS/OPSD, and provincial regulationsA proactive mindset and interest in continuous learning and professional developmentSalary Range
