About the job you’re considering
Capgemini is looking for a senior PLM Program Manager to join its Global PLM Practice as part of a long-term digital transformation engagement with a major Aerospace & Defense industry leader in Canada.This ambitious program aims to modernize the entire manufacturing value chain - from fabrication to final assembly - by deploying Dassault Systèmes PLM (DELMIA) and MES (APRISO) solutions across multiple sites, in close coordination with the migration to SAP S/4HANA. The ambition goes beyond toolset modernization: it is about transforming processes, reshaping ways of working and establishing digital continuity between Engineering and Manufacturing.As Transformation Lead, you will be the Business-side pivot of the transformation - permanently on-site at the client's premises in Montreal area. You will ensure cohesion across IT, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, while managing the client relationship and progressively building the Capgemini team and footprint around the program.Your Role
Program ManagementScope control - maintain program boundaries, proactively flag and elevate deviationsCoordinate IT (Digital Technologies) and Business activities (Engineering & Manufacturing)Build, animate and keep alive the program governance structure — committees, reporting, decisionsManage in semi-agile mode with work packages - deliver value incrementallyDrive daily progress tracking (standups, Jira)Facilitate stakeholder engagement and co-construction workshopsEnsure coherent capability placement across systems (PLM, MES/APRISO, SAP S/4HANA)Coordinate change management and user adoption activitiesEscalate risks to client Senior Leadership and present at executive meetingsBusiness Development & Team BuildingIdentify and qualify development opportunities with the client — scope extensions, new workstreams, new sitesPosition Capgemini expertise and offerings (Global PLM Practice, Aerospace & Defense)Progressively build the Capgemini team around the program — recruitment, onboarding,
coachingContribute to commercial proposals and RFP responsesNurture and grow trusted relationships with client stakeholdersYour Skills and Experience
15+ years managing complex digital transformation programsProven experience in Manufacturing / Shopfloor environmentsSolid PLM and MES background - knowledge of Dassault Systèmes solutions (DELMIA, APRISO) strongly preferredUnderstanding of PLM–MES–ERP integrations (SAP S/4HANA)Experience in change management and large scale user adoptionBackground in Aerospace & Defense - a robust assetStrong command of Agile (SAFe, Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies, hybrid / semi-agile approachesAbility to design and operate complex governance structures across multiple stakeholdersProficiency with program tracking tools (Jira, MS Project, etc.)Ability to build PM practices from the ground up in a low-formalization environmentStrong leadership - ability to unite, inspire and develop a teamPre-sales aptitude - opportunity identification, account development, business acumenEmpathy and active listening - genuine understanding of client challengesCollaborative mindset and strong cultural adaptabilityExcellent communication, reporting structure and decision facilitationFrench / English bilingualism is mandatoryBenefits
