Senior Software Developer
to join our team. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this senior-level role is responsible for the development, enhancement and testing of our system that is developed exclusively in-house. The role will also be responsible for the delivery of applications which meet the needs of users, in a timely and effective manner. You will work with business analysts and end-users of the system to define requirements and manage team deliverables.Office Location & Hybrid Model
Our office is in downtown Toronto, a 5-minute walk from Union Station.We embrace a versatile hybrid work model, with teams in 2-4 times per month.What You’ll Do
Development of software that meets the requirements that are provided by business analystsWork with users to develop functional requirements as an input to application designDeveloping and testing detailed functional designsApplication design, development, testing,



and deployment activitiesBe available for limited application support after business hoursDevelop a professional and productive relationship with SGGG-FSI staffKeep management informed of any and all issues that could have a Customer impactWork to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned functionsWhat You’ll Bring
Must-Haves / Required
Advanced knowledge of object-oriented software design and development5 – 7 years of overall application development experienceUniversity Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent experience in the field)At least 5 years of C# application development, coding, testing, deployment & maintenanceMust have ASP.NET MVC and AngularJS experience, preference will be given to advanced knowledgeSolid understanding of relational database development utilizing MS SQLAdvanced knowledge of WCF and XML web services, and the Service Oriented Architecture patternProven track record of delivering software projects, on timeGood communication and inter-personal skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision to prioritize and manage workAbility to work as an effective member of a teamStrong attention to detailNice-to-Haves / Assets
Preference will be given to applicants with relevant certificates and training in Information TechnologyCompletion of all or some of the CFA, CSC or other related designations is a plusKnowledge of the investment fund industry systems, operations, technical and business processesYou Should Embody
