This is a founding individual contributor role focused on improving visibility, understanding, and optimization across all engineering-controlled spend, including cloud infrastructure and engineering-owned technical vendors.You will build the systems, tooling, and data models required to make engineering spend attributable, explainable, and actionable. In the near term, you will drive measurable savings. Over time, you will help build showback, chargeback, and unit-cost capabilities that allow us to understand the cost of services, platforms, and customer footprint more deeply.What You’ll Do
build the internal cost platform and reporting model for engineering spendown analysis and optimization of AWS and engineering-owned vendor spendimprove cost attribution, tagging, and data qualitydefine and implement showback, chargeback, and unit-cost modelspartner with engineering teams to drive optimization opportunitiespartner with finance and procurement on forecasting, renewals, and vendor rationalizationdesign telemetry-backed cost models that connect infrastructure spend to real usageestablish governance, review cadences, and cost-aware engineering practicesWhat We’re Looking For
