Full Stack Developer
who wants to build meaningful products, not just complete tickets.This role is for someone who can take a problem from idea to production, make smart technical decisions, and cares deeply about whether the thing they built actually works for customers. You’ll work across the stack, contributing to customer-facing product experiences, APIs, backend systems, data models, and the infrastructure that supports them. Our environment includes technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Next.Json the frontend, alongside Django-powered backend services and the broader platform infrastructure that supports our products at scale.We’re looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, good judgement, and a bias for action. You should be comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and proposing better ways to solve problems.This is a great role for either a strong intermediate developer ready to grow into senior-level impact, or a senior developer who wants ownership, speed,
and product influence.What You’ll Do:Build and ship full-stack features from idea to productionBuild polished, reliable product experiences across the stack using React, TypeScript, Next.Js, and DjangoDesign, build, and improve APIs and backend workflowsWork with PostgreSQL and help evolve our data modelsBuild tools that help event organizers manage, grow, and improve their eventsImprove the attendee experience from discovery to checkout to event entryDebug production issues and strengthen the reliability of our systemsWork closely with product, design, support, and engineering leadershipUse modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve speed and qualityChallenge assumptions, identify better solutions, and take ownership of outcomesWhat Makes Someone Successful Here:Care about the customer impact of what you’re buildingLike owning problems, not just completing assigned ticketsCan work through ambiguity and make thoughtful technical decisionsMove quickly while still caring about qualityHave strong fullstack product instinctsEnjoys working with and supporting their team members in-officeAre comfortable working across the stackKnow when to ask for help and when to make a decisionUse tools thoughtfully, but do not rely on them as a substitute for understandingWant to keep getting better as an engineerWhat You Bring:4+ years of software development experienceexperience building modern frontend applications using React, Vue, or a similar frameworkBackend development experience, ideally with Python/Django or similar frameworksExperience designing, consuming,
and debugging APIsExperience with PostgreSQL or another relational databaseStrong problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgementComfort working in a fast-moving environmentA self-starter mindset and a strong sense of ownershipInterest in using modern tools and workflows to become more effectiveNice to Have:Experience with high-traffic, transactional, or event-driven systemsBackground jobs, queues, Celery, Redis, or similar toolsCloud experience, especially GCPObservability tools such as Sentry, Datadog, or similarExperience building or integrating AI-powered product featuresExperience in ticketing, payments, marketplaces, live events, or commerceWhat This Role Is LikeShowpass is a fast-moving product and engineering environment.
