Accountability shapes us.The Instrumentation Technician safely repairs, maintains, calibrates, adjusts and installs industrial measuring and controlling instrumentation throughout the mine and milling operation. The Instrumentation Technician works collaboratively with the team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule.Responsibilities:
Safely repair, maintain, calibrate, adjust, and install industrial instrumentation across mining and milling operations.Read and interpret control schematics, P&IDs;, process flow drawings, circuit diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.Inspect, test,
and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing equipment.Repair, replace, and calibrate components such as sensors, transmitters, PLCs, control valves, actuators, and positioners.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and complete test, calibration, and maintenance reports.Document work orders, repair activities, and maintenance records in the maintenance management system (Oracle eAM).Diagnose potential equipment failures, identify inefficiencies, and recommend practical solutions to improve reliability.Work collaboratively with operators, process control technicians, and maintenance teams to support safe and reliable operations.Qualifications
College diploma in electrical and/or instrumentation technician or another related field.Ontario Provincial or Inter‑Provincial Instrumentation Technician License is preferred.Apprentices may be considered in accordance with business and legislative requirements.A minimum of 4 years of related work experience.Previous experience in open pit mining or mineral processing (specifically gold processing) is considered an asset.Skills & Strengths, We Value:
