Mechanical Contractor
with a team of 30 including in‑house installation crews, is seeking a
Mechanical Project Manager
to oversee HVAC and plumbing scopes on
new‑build commercial and institutional projects
.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment, understands mechanical systems deeply, and can confidently manage drawings, scope, costing, and field execution.Key Responsibilities
Manage full project lifecycle for HVAC and plumbing installations on ICI recent‑build projectsReview mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals to determine scope, materials, and installation requirementsPerform take‑offs, cost assessments, and assist with estimating extras and change ordersPrepare and issue RFIs, track responses, and ensure design clarity for field teamsCoordinate with GCs, developers, engineers, and internal installation crewsMaintain project schedules, budgets, and documentationConduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support field supervisorsEnsure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to mechanical standardsParticipate in project meetings and provide regular updates to leadershipSupport procurement,



material planning, and subcontractor coordinationQualifications
Mechanical Engineering degree
(required)Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience
in mechanical contractingStrong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems in commercial/institutional constructionAbility to interpret mechanical drawings and identify scope gaps or conflictsExperience with costing, take‑offs, extras, and change order preparationStrong communication and coordination skills with both office and field teamsProficiency with project management software and Microsoft OfficeValid driver’s license and comfort traveling to job sites in the GTAVacation:
