Are you an experienced consulting professional looking to grow your impact through challenging, multidisciplinary projects? Join BBA’s Calgary office and contribute to the delivery and evolution of our instrumentation, control systems and digital services offering. In this role, you will work as a technical consultant and trusted advisor. You will remain primarily focused on hands‑on technical delivery while progressively expanding your involvement in client interactions, opportunity development and proposal support.Key Responsibilities
Lead instrumentation, control system and automation scopes, including scope definition, budgets, schedules and delivery trackingServe as a primary technical interface with clients, building trusted relationships and supporting long‑term account developmentPrepare and review engineering deliverables in accordance with BBA and client standards (e.G., P&IDs;, specifications, drawings, network and panel designs)Design, integrate, program and commission PLC, HMI, DCS, and industrial communication systemsContribute to proposal development through scope definition, cost estimation, scheduling and technical positioningPerform site support activities including inspections, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning in Canada and abroadQualities and Values that Match Our Corporate Culture

Engineering degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, or instrumentation and controls8+ years of relevant consulting or industrial experienceHands‑on experience programming and commissioning control systems (ABB, Honeywell, Schneider/Modicon, Rockwell, etc.)Ability to prepare, review and interpret logic diagrams, functional specifications and control narrativesExperience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.)Strong troubleshooting, commissioning and system integration experienceExperience delivering projects in the mining, industrial or energy sectorWillingness to travel to client sites locally and internationallyExcellent communication skills (spoken and written)Strong organizational skills and professional judgmentRegistered with APEGA as a P.EngOverview of BBA’s Total Rewards
