Located in the picturesque hamlet of Naujaat, Nunavut, Tusarvik Elementary School serves the local community. Education & Certification
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degreeValid teaching certificate recognized by, or eligible for certification in NunavutInternational educated teachers who do not hold a Canadian teaching certificateCandidates are not expected to meet every qualification;
relevant experience anda commitment to community-centred education are valued.Language and Cultural Assets
Ability to communicate in Inuktitut (verbal and written).Experience supporting Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit-based education.Experience teaching in a bilingual or ESL environmentExperience teaching in cross-cultural, or northern-Canada contextsTeaching Practice & Classroom Environment

Salary Range: $78,206 – $147,243 (based on experience)Nunavut Northern Allowance for Naujaat, Nunavut : $21,894Conditions of Employment
Applicants currently employed by the Government of Nunavut must hold a valid Nunavut teaching certificate.Applicants from outside Nunavut must provide a copy of a current public-school teaching certificate from a Canadian jurisdiction recognized by the Nunavut Department of Education.
